Safe Drinking Water Supply Projects: Safe Water! Save Life!!
This is an initiative to produce safe, sustainable and purified water to needy communities. The program includes digging bore-wells and hand pumps and providing bio-sand water filters. As of today, we have dug over 5000 wells for the neediest communities. The yearly goal is to reach 10,000 families through 31 bio-sand project centers of the Church in different parts of the nation.
Poverty Alleviation Project: Breaking the cycle of poverty!
Getting to the grass roots of society, this project provides those in need with tools to increase their income. According to each one’s skill or trade, this project provides cows, buffaloes, goats, pigs, hens, sewing machines, carpentry tools, masonry tools, agricultural equipments, vocational training and the like.
The Church yearly invests over Rs. 3.5 crores in this project alone for the upliftment of the lives of over 50,000 families.
Adult Literacy Program: Helping to Dream Big
Lack of education and information is a major hindrance in the development of an individual. Statistics shows that on the Indian subcontinent alone, 35% of the population are illiterates!
This project is launched for the holistic development of personal and social life of individuals by providing education and creating necessary awareness. The tailor-made lesson plans published in many regional languages, includes topics such as health and hygiene, environment, social awareness, moral and ethical values and general knowledge.
The Church has a goal to reach 5 lakh adults living in the rural communities in the next five years.
