For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me, I tell you the truth whatever you did not do for one of the least of these; you did not do for me. (Matthew 25:42, 43, 45)These words of Jesus are the inspiration behind Believers Church involvement in health care – a huge challenge in our times.
Medical Centers
The Medical Centers are dedicated to providing quality health care for the under-served in the community by enhanced individual attention and patient safety. Hospitals located at Mala and Konni provide commendable service to thousands of people in and around the districts of Trissur and Pathanamthitta in Kerala State.
To enhance basic medical care to the neediest people, Believers church had mobile medical teams and camps all over the country. Well over 3 lakh families a year benefits from these initiatives.
Service to the Leprosy Patients: Touch of compassion to the neglected!
There were 1.38 lakhs new leprosy cases identified in the year 2007-08. “Touch of Compassion” is a project of the Believers Church to touch these sections of our people. Approximately 3000 lives are benefited by our medical services, nutritious food, MCR foot wears, health education, woolen clothes, mosquito nets and other basic amenities.
Our service extends to 27 leper colonies in the states of West Bengal and Jharkhand. Construction plans are underway for a hospital in Purulia, West Bengal.
