Reconstruction and Relief

Well-equipped volunteers of the Church promptly and studiously respond to disasters and provide emergency relief help through supplying food, clothing, medical care and other basic amenities of life. The long-term recovery plan includes reconstructing houses and assisting families to rebuild their lives and overcome poverty.

As of today, the Church has invested over Rs. 7 crores constructing 235 houses for Cyclone victims in Orissa; provided 124 houses for flood affected victims in Dhemaji, Assam; brought relief to earthquake victims in Latur (Maharashtra) and Gujarat, reached out to victims of Aila in West Bengal and Bangladesh, Nagris in Myanmar and helped the flood affected victims in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Over 1 lakh families have benefited through these relief efforts.

In Orissa, the Church is investing Rs. 3 crores for the rehabilitation of 1000 families through constructing 1000 homes.
